About Poppy Rat Productions
My name is Iz Zamora, and I'm a student filmmaker currently based in Albuquerque, New Mexico. I've loved film my whole life, and I've been writing screenplays and making movies since I can remember.
This all came to fruition when I wrote and directed my debut short film, 'Crondale Cares', which won the Best Comedy award at Film Prize Junior New Mexico Film Festival in 2024. It is now available on IMDB, The Movie Database, and was even featured on movie-centric social media Letterboxd's 'Top 5,000 Highest Rated On Letterboxd' list that August.
I created Poppy Rat Productions (named after a beloved character in a screenplay I hope you all will get to see someday soon enough) as a formal venture into finally sharing my works I have dreamt of making for so long with the world.
Outside of producing my own films, I have also worked on dozens of other sets, positions from script supervising, casting, acting / background work, and much more. I am always looking to expand my horizons and learn as much as I can about this industry.
I'm thrilled to have a way to share my works with you all, and I hope you all enjoy watching them as much as I do creating them!
